Shirley's Approach

Through personal stories, reflective tools, and compassionate guidance, I help turn complex, layered challenges into opportunities for understanding, growth, and meaningful change. Who I Work With

Building clarity, confidence, and compassion

I work with both professionals who support others and individuals navigating layered, often invisible health challenges. Whether you’re holding space for others or learning to hold space for yourself, my coaching offers a calm, reflective environment where you can explore, reset, and grow.

For Professionals:

Supporting Those Who Support Others

Working with people who have co-occurring, layered disabilities, neurodivergent profiles, and long-term health conditions can be deeply rewarding, but also emotionally demanding. Shirley’s coaching provides a confidential, affirming space to think through challenges, build confidence, and develop inclusive, values-led practice.

This coaching helps you:
• Reflect on the emotional and ethical complexities of your work
• Strengthen clarity and confidence in inclusive communication and assessment
• Sustain your compassion and wellbeing, avoiding burnout
• Explore real-life challenges in your current caseload or setting

Who it’s for:
DSA assessors, SENCOs, disability advisers, social workers, educators, HR professionals, and anyone supporting people with layered needs.

Formats available:
One-to-one professional coaching, small group reflective sessions, or tailored programmes for teams and organisations.

For Individuals:

Living Layered Lives

For those navigating chronic illness, fatigue, pain syndromes, or neurodivergent and layered health challenges, Shirley’s coaching offers a calm, supportive space to find clarity, balance, and ways forward at your own pace.

This coaching helps you:
• Manage energy and expectations
• Redefine success and self-worth
• Set boundaries without guilt
• Navigate work, study, or healthcare systems
• Explore grief, change, and self-compassion

Approach and tools:
Shirley’s trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware approach integrates structured recovery coaching, wellbeing and belief-change methods, pacing and energy tools, and assistive technology guidance.

Sessions are online, flexible, and led by your goals and pace.

“Shirley's coaching isn’t just about tools or strategies (though she’s amazing at those too); it’s about the way she listens so deeply, sees the real me beneath the struggles, and helps me reconnect with my own strength.”
